Special Case CT

Aside from the planning of tooth implants, Dental CT imaging is also useful in assessing the relation of masses in the jaws to the mandibular nerve and the dental structures. Thus, the surgical approach can be optimized.

In this particular case a small recurrent osteofibroma can be observed. Note the bone defect due to the previous surgical approach.
