Special Case MRI

Medical history:
49 year old female patient who reports a migraine five days ago. Still persistent feeling of numbness in the left face, in the area of N. V2.

Neuritis of the left trigeminal nerve, affecting the parts close to its nucleus: the contrast agent enhancement is visibly stronger.
Note the discrete signal enhancement along the left trigeminal nerve in the T2 weighted fast spin echo sequence (top left image), which is due to a small edema.
This examination gives evidence of the superior performance of a 2 Tesla MRI scanner
