Special Case MRI

Patient having received a bone-cartilage graft four weeks ago (H. Laprell, MD, Lubinus-Klinik, Kiel, Germany).

Postoperative follow-up examination of the bone-cartilage graft (located at the back of the patella) and the femoral donor area which has been filled with Endobone®.

The animated gif (dynamic Gadolinium series; 2D Flash + Fatsat) shows the perfusion of the bone-cartilage graft.
Note the capillaries growing into the endobone cylinder, showing its integration into the femoral bone.

The scan was performed with the 1.0 T Elscint Prima Twin Gradient.
