Volume Rendering

Volume rendering on the ProVision/OmniPro-Workstation (Algotec, Elscint), based on Spiral CT data from the Marconi MxTwin Flash resp. the the Marconi Mx8000 as well as based on MRI image data.
The presets are self-defined.

Marconi MxTwin Flash
Os stylohyoidale.
Aneurysmatic alteration of the popliteal artery.
Right: Simultaneous rendering of muscle and fat.
Renderings focusing on tendons and ligaments.
Right: Bones.
Os trigonum and Os cuboideum secundarium.

Marconi Mx8000
Leftsided facial hemiatrophy.
Rendering focusing on lymphatic nodules and vessels .
Right: View onto the Trigonum suboccipitale
Comminuted fracture of the caput humeri.
Aortic dissection of the thoracic aorta, Stanford B.
Aneurysmatic expansion of the ascending aorta.
Simultaneous rendering of lungs and ribcage.
Lobus venae azygos.
External musculature of the thorax.
External musculature of abdomen and thorax.
Rendering of the coronaries; retrospectively gated exam.
Patient having received replacement of the thoracal descending aorta. Aortic dissection ranging from the coeliacal trunk into the iliacal arteries below the inguinal ligaments.
Abdominal aortic aneurysm with massive calcifications and thrombus.
Infrarenal aortic aneurysm with thrombus.
Gallstones.
"Double" Aneurysm of the abdominal aorta, extending from the superior mesenteric artery to the bifurcation.
Aneurysm of the right common iliac artery, and stenosis of the coeliacal trunc.
Infrarenal aortic aneurysm and aneurysm of the left common iliac artery and internal iliac artery.
Angiography, outruling abdominal angina.
See above; nice rendering of upper abdominal organs.
Renal angiography. Accessory renal arteries.
Renal angiography. Multiple renal cysts.
Metastases in gastric cancer patient.
Additional finding: Cyst of the renal pelvis, left.
Big livercyst.
Rendering showing the Plexus ischiadicus/Plexus lumbalis.
Renderings focusing on ligaments.
Right: Dorsal view of the muscles.
Renderings focusing on tendons and ligaments.
Right: Bones.
Os trigonum.

MRT
Brain surface.
Meningeoma.
Aneurysma of the right internal carotid artery above the siphon.
Volume rendering shows this finding impressively; it is superior to MIP (pictured right).
Aortic dissection.
Aneurysmatic alteration of the distal aorta with thrombus located directly above the bifurcation. Retroaortal renal vein, left.
Hydronephrosis of the right kidney.
